We are delighted to welcome you to the Mandarin Mental Health Assembly 2025, taking place from September 1-3, 2025, in the vibrant and scenic city of Beijing, China. This prestigious three-day event brings together mental health professionals, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, neuroscientists, and researchers from across the globe to share, learn, and collaborate on the evolving landscape of mental health care.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mandarin’s serene coastline and multicultural heritage, the conference offers a distinctive environment to explore the latest advancements in psychiatric research, clinical therapies, and community-based mental health initiatives.

This year’s theme, “Bridging Minds: Inspiring Change”, underscores our commitment to promoting holistic, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive approaches to mental health and well-being.

Our scientific program includes keynote presentations from distinguished international experts such as Prof. Maria Gonzales (Spain), Dr. Rakesh Menon (India), and Dr. Lena Nyström (Sweden), who will discuss groundbreaking work in areas including digital psychiatry, trauma-informed care, adolescent mental health, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Attendees will gain hands-on insights through workshops, panel discussions, case study forums, and interactive poster presentations. Special sessions will be dedicated to emerging technologies like AI in psychiatry, as well as the intersection of mental health with global challenges such as migration, climate change, and social inequality.

Beyond the academic program, the conference will also feature cultural tours, evening receptions, and networking opportunities in the idyllic setting of Mandarin—making this a truly holistic experience for both mind and spirit.

We encourage early registration to take advantage of discounted rates and secure your spot in high-demand workshops.

Welcome Speech by the Chairperson

Prof. Dr. Jeremiah Zion Wells

Chairperson, Mandarin Mental Health Assembly 2025
Institute of Mental Health, Peking University

Distinguished Colleagues, Honored Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of professional pride that I welcome you all to the Mandarin Mental Health Assembly 2025, taking place in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Beijing, China, from September 1-3, 2025.

As Chairperson of this esteemed conference, I am truly honored to lead a gathering that reflects the collective commitment of global mental health professionals, researchers, and advocates. Psychiatry and mental health care are fields that continue to evolve—shaped by scientific discovery, societal needs, and a growing awareness of the mind-body connection. This conference stands as a platform to share that evolution, to challenge assumptions, and to build stronger systems of care for all.

Our theme this year, “Bridging Minds: Inspiring Change,” embodies our aspiration to connect research with practice, clinical rigor with compassion, and tradition with innovation. From advancements in psychopharmacology and digital psychiatry to trauma-informed care and community-based interventions, we are exploring how innovation can foster healing in a deeply human way.

We are privileged to welcome an outstanding group of speakers — psychiatrists, neuroscientists, psychologists, social workers, and policy leaders — whose work is shaping the future of mental health. Their presentations will span key topics such as adolescent psychiatry, substance use disorders, neurobiological insights, public mental health policy, and global mental health equity.

This conference is more than a series of sessions. It is a space of dialogue, empathy, and vision. Whether you are a senior clinician, a researcher, a student, or a healthcare administrator, I encourage you to participate fully — attend workshops, present your findings, engage in discussions, and most importantly, connect with others who share your passion and mission.

We are also grateful to our industry partners and exhibitors for showcasing the tools and technologies that are transforming psychiatric practice and patient care. Their presence strengthens the bridge between innovation and clinical impact.

A heartfelt thanks goes to our organizing committee, scientific advisors, and local collaborators here in Mandarin. Their dedication and hard work have brought this event to life with excellence, hospitality, and a spirit of inclusivity.

To our international guests — welcome to Mandarin, a land of natural beauty and cultural diversity. We hope you find moments of peace and inspiration in its landscapes, people, and traditions.

In closing, let us approach this conference with curiosity, humility, and hope. Let it be a space where ideas are born, connections are made, and new paths toward mental well-being are forged — not only for our patients, but for our communities and ourselves.

Thank you for being here. I wish you all a rewarding, collaborative, and memorable experience at the Mandarin Mental Health Assembly 2025.

Warm regards,

Prof. Dr. Jeremiah Zion Wells
